Colleen Mary Rose

I'm a New Jersey girl transplanted to the South where the people lovingly respond to my sarcasm with “Bless your dear heart.” I live with my supportive husband and our dog, Winnie who helps me write by resting her fat head on the caps lock button and licking my fingers.

I started my career as an attorney, then worked as a teen librarian, now I am an academic life coach in addition to being a writer. I have a wonderful group of friends who put up with my quirks, listen to my problems, and make me laugh. Like Walter Mitty, I have a rich fantasy life, although instead of dreaming of doing extraordinary things, I dream of eating baked goods with every meal, winning the lottery, and taking expensive trips. You can find more of my humor at https://medium.com/@colleenmaryrose

In addition to writing humorous essays, I write a series of novels about middle-aged female friends who are not too old to make mistakes, learn from their mistakes, and make new mistakes while providing plenty of laughs for readers. 

I publish under the pen name Colleen Mary Rose because no one knows how to pronounce “Guess-a-which.”
